"Eye of the Needle" is the latest track from Sia's forthcoming album 1000 Forms of Fear. She previously previewed her new album with lead single "Chandelier", a dark party anthem armed with soaring vocals. Sia slows things down on this latest song and lets her emotions seep in more.

Despite penning hit songs for artists like Rihanna, David Guetta and Flo Rida, Sia is known for being a reclusive singer-songwriter. She signed with RCA Records last year to release a new album of her own, noting in her contract that she will not have to tour or do press appearances.

Sia says "1000 Forms of Fear" will be filled with personal and dark songs that are not as top 40-friendly as ones she's written for other people. "Eye of the Needle" certainly lines up with the aforementioned description. Sparse production backs Sia as she lays her heart out bear. "Smile through the pain / Feel the acid rain," she belts in a heartbreaking performance. Like on "Chandelier", the chorus on "Eye" is a moment for Sia to collect her emotions to unleash some beautifully unrestrained vocals. In all its sorrow, Sia's new ballad is rightfully wavering, yet powerful in her delivery.

Sia's album 1000 Forms of Fear will be released on July 8. Her single "Chandelier" is already shaping up to be a hit for the singer-songwriter, currently sitting at No. 48 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. The mind-blowing video featuring "Dance Moms" star Maddie Ziegler performing intense choreography has already amassed over 20 million views on YouTube. She recently recreated the clip in a live performance on "The Ellen Show". Sia's latest track "Eye of the Needle" is now available on iTunes.
