The galaxy's coolest popstar Robyn returned to music with Norwegian electronic duo Röyksopp on Tuesday (April 22). The two acts recently collaborated on a new EP and the set's first single, the dazzling "Do It Again," surfaced online today.
According to Idolator.com, the title track from Robyn and Röyksopp's upcoming EP "Do It Again" along with the song "Every Little Thing" leaked ahead of schedule. "Do It Again" was reportedly set to premiere on April 28 as the EP's first single but fans can listen to the new track now.
Robyn and Röyksopp made it be known that they want the "Do It Again" EP to be seen as a collaborative release and not as one artist featuring another. The track "Do It Again" utilizes the best of both acts with Robyn's emotive vocals over the aural grandeur of Röyksopp's dazzling dance production. "Don't care what they say / It hurts so good / I don't want to stop / I know I should," she sings. "Do It Again" is breathtakingly beautiful dance track from the unbeatable duo of Robyn and Röyksopp.
"Do It Again" is also a play on words about Robyn and Röyksopp's new tour. The two acts previously featured on each others' songs and they also toured together in 2012. Robyn and Röyksopp will hit the road once more this summer on the Do It Again tour when it kicks off in June at the Northside Festival in Denmark. Some U.S. tour dates are included on the global trek.
Robyn and Röyksopp's "Do It Again" EP will be released on May 26. Along with the title track, the 5-track EP also features the songs "Monument" and "Everything Little Thing." The latter track can be streamed now at PopOnAndOn.com. This will be the first release from the two acts since Robyn's critically-acclaimed "Body Talk" album series and Röyksopp's "Senior," both of which were released in 2010.
