U.K. pop group One Direction premiered the exclusive remix of its newest single "You & I" by band member Liam Payne on Wednesday (April 16). Billed as the Big Payno remix, Payne turns the heartfelt acoustic ballad into a glowing dance track.

"You & I" is the latest single from One Direction's third album "Midnight Memories." Over the gentle strum of a guitar, the guys of 1D let their significant others know that the love they share is unbreakable. "You and I / We don't want to be like them / We can make it to the end," Harry Styles sings during the sweeping chorus.

To commemorate "You & I" as the band's next single, One Direction is challenging fans to remix the track with vocal stems from its SoundCloud page. Liam Payne, one the five guys in 1D, already went ahead and remixed the song himself. His special EDM makeover will be featured on the EP release of "You & I" in the U.K. Payne will also select his favorite fan mixes and include those on a weekly playlist.

For his Big Payno remix, Liam turns up the tempo of "You & I." The mix opens on a familiar acoustic note before synths begin creeping in during the chorus. It slowly builds to a glorious drop with One Direction's echoed vocals floating atop glowing dance beats. Payne finds a happy medium between the track's softer side and his addition of EDM elements. DJ Payne could totally be a side career for the One Direction member.

Liam Payne's Big Payno remix will be included on "You & I" EP, which drops on May 25 in the U.K. One Direction is set to premiere the music video for "You & I" this Friday, April 18. It follows the band's previously released singles "Best Song Ever," "Story of My Life" and the album title track from their Billboard no. 1 record "Midnight Memories."
