"Adore You" was lifted from Cyrus' album "Bangerz." While her previous singles "We Can't Stop" and "Wrecking Ball" peaked at no. 2 and no. 1 respectively on Billboard's Hot 100, "Adore You" has yet to match those successes, climbing as high as no. 22 on chart. Miley enlists Cedric Gervais, the man who turned Lana Del Rey's "Summertime Sadness" into a national hit, to revamp her love song.
Cyrus counts the ways she loves her man on "Adore You." The album version of the track is a slow and wistful ballad. Gervais still captures the heart of the "Adore You" on his hot remix. As Miley moves through her verses, the track slowly builds to an EDM climax. Once the gorgeous chorus hits, Gervais turns up the music with a glowing drop. He works his production magic on another pop ballad.
Cyrus' album "Bangerz" hit no. 1 on Billboard's albums chart last year in October. Gervais recently won the Best Remixed Recording Grammy for his work on Lana Del Rey's "Summertime Sadness."
