Listen: Calvin Harris sings his praises for 'Summer' on new dance single

Scottish DJ Calvin Harris premiered his new single "Summer" on Friday. He doubles as the jubilant EDM track's producer and vocalist.

Harris is known for his breakout 2012 hit "Feels So Close." He produced, wrote and sang on the single but reportedly vowed to never take on mic duties again. Luckily, the DJ didn't keep his word with "Summer."

Calvin puts his smooth raspy vocals back to work on the breezy dance track. "When I met you in the summer / Took my heart beat a sound / We fell in love as the leaves turned brown," he sings over the folk music-like opening. The piano kicks in soon after with a wall of synths and euphoric drop. Harris sure knows how to make any season (or time) sound like a good time.

"Summer" is now available on iTunes. It serves as the lead single to Harris' fourth studio album, which is set to be released later this year.
