The 29th Annual Depot Days takes place on the weekend of Saturday, September 14th and 15th, 2013. The event is located at School street & Main street, Lisle, IL.
The festival has free admission and free parking (on Burlington street at train station). This good old fashioned festival starts 12 noon - 5pm on both days, with a live folk music band playing 7pm - 9pm (9/14).
Some of the special educational attractions include: quilting, historic autos, blacksmithing, beekeeping, gardening, soap making, and canning. Some other of the Depo Days happenings scheduled to look forward to include: live music, games, contests, demos, tours, hayrides, petting zoo, and more.
Additionally families can rekindled good old fashioned fun with days of past activities such as: sack races, tug of war, story-time, and pie eating contest. There will be lots of history and pioneer events, with a special thanks to Lisle Heritage Society & Lisle Park District that are presenting this festival.
