Lisa Vanderpump has dealt with several lawsuits, and the housewife has been getting used to angry employees. The Whittier Daily News reports on Thursday that Vanderpump has been ordered to pay $6,250 in a lawsuit started by a server who used to work at Villa Blanca. This is not the only problem that the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star has faced because of her restaurants.
Karina Bustillos claimed she was sexually harassed by a manager at Villa Blanca, and Vanderpump did nothing to stop it. She has been awarded $6,250 for her lawsuit, a figure which is significantly less than the one she originally wanted, and the manager has been exonerated. Vanderpump has stated that there was no evidence for Bustillos’ claims after she investigated the incident.
Bustillos is not the only former employee who has gone after the reality star with lawyers. Ricardo Velasco started a lawsuit because he claimed he was the victim of discrimination at Villa Blanca. The dishwasher hurt his back several times on the job and received temporary disability leave. However, the restaurant fired him before he could take advantage of his last disability leave. Velasco believes this was a deliberate action by the owners, but he agreed to a settlement to avoid court.
Vanderpump is allegedly considering the option of returning to the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” and the lawsuit may have an impact on her decision. Bravo has invited her back, but the housewife is not certain she wants to face another season of drama and fighting. Joyce Giraud and Carlton Gebbia are rumored to have officially made their exit from the reality program, but Vanderpump also had problems with some of the other women on the show. Vanderpump felt the cast did not appreciate her and attacked her during the last season.
