Although the rest of the cast, with the exception of Joyce Giraud and Carlton Gebbia, has reportedly signed their season five contracts, Vanderpump has not. However, she did recently confirm that the network has asked her back.
"There has been a lot of speculation and I was asked back, but it was really difficult for me last season," Vanderpump revealed in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, via a June 11 report by Wetpaint Entertainment. "Plus, I had so much going on. I was trying to [open P.U.M.P Lounge] and with everything else I was doing, you know, Vanderpump Rules, and juggling everything, and it was all a bit much, to be honest, and I really felt beaten up, I really did."
In the months since filming season four, Vanderpump has been very outspoken about her feelings on her co-stars, but thus far, it doesn't appear that Bravo has heard her. Although the network surely wants its return, there haven't been any major cast adjustments to make Vanderpump more comfortable. In fact, the housewives closest to her, Gebbia and Giraud, have been booted from the show.
Still, Vanderpump hasn't written off a possible return and confirms that she is currently in talks for a season five comeback.
"We are in talks. My initial reaction was, 'I would never,' that was how I felt, but the jury is still out," she explained.
