Actress Lisa Rinna is joining “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” but will she cause even more drama than some of her catty predecessors? According to a report on Monday from Radar Online, Rinna has signed on to join the cast of the Bravo reality show following a successful stint in front of the cameras at Kyle Richards’s annual White Party last month.
While insiders told the celeb gossip site that Rinna got along with all of the castmates -- with the exception of Yolanda Foster and a jealous Brandi Glanville -- some of her past comments suggest she’ll stir up some trouble with all of the ladies.
In May, Rinna told the Huffington Post that there was no way she’s ever join the Bravo reality show. "Do you realize I would chew them all up and spit them out?" she said during an interview with HuffPost Live. "Does anyone realize what I would do to those poor women?"
The 50-year-old actress, who’s happily married and has two daughters, even named names: "I would probably squash out Brandi Glanville in the first five seconds," she said, before adding that she loves longtime show alums Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump.
“I don't want to have drama in my life,” Rinna continued. "I think I'd have to cut all their heads off ... The truth of the matter is, I'd kill them all."
Glanville responded to rumors that she was jealous of her new castmate’s happy family life via a tweet that said: “I’ve met @lisarinna several times & she was lovely & I would never be anything but happy for people with great families! #fact."
Rinna is best known for playing Billie Reed on ‘Days of Our Lives,” as well as her role Taylor McBride on “Melrose Place.” She also starred on the reality show “Harry Loves Lisa,” with her husband, “Mad Men” star Harry Hamlin. “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” will be an interesting addition to her resume, to say the least.
In addition to Rinna, the upcoming fifth season of “RHOBH” is rumored to mark the return of former cast mates Adrienne Maloof and Camille Grammer, while last season’s troublemakers Carlton Gebbia and Joyce Giraud are reportedly out for good.
The new season of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ debuts this fall on Bravo.
