Lisa Rinna returns as Billie Reed in her Days of Our Lives daytime soap opera role. After appearing in Celebrity Apprentice and Dancing with the Stars, it was time she reprised her iconic role.
Days of Our Lives Cast Get Back its Salem Darling
The Las Vegas regular has been part of Sin City shop talk since she refused to return to her Billie Reed role in 2003. While the talk about her return was pretty convincing, nine years would go by before she found her home back in Salem.
"I am so thrilled to be back and excited to be acting again. I have done reality shows, talk shows and I thought, what a great way to come back and play a character that I love to play so much. Feels very full circle - like a new old chapter." ~ Lisa Rinna on her return to "Our Lives."
Here is a Days of Our Lives spoiler: According to THR, Billie Reed has a rendezvous with old flame Bo (played by Peter Reckell). And there is more: Reed is rumored to bump heads with her mother Kate (played by Lauren Koslow).
It's Back to Days: Our Lives Star Returns as Billie Reed
The character Billie Reed, created by writer Sheri Anderson is about a woman who lands in Salem in 1992 as professional singer. Lisa Rinna was the first cast in the role. Krista Allen and Julie Pinson also played the character.
However, her scarred past and cocaine addiction almost ruins the opportunity until Carrie Brady becomes friends with her. After giving her a temporary place to live, Lisa Rinna's character cleans up her act. She also opened up her own cosmetics company.
Viewers fell in love with Billie Reed because she was "normal," and struggling like every day people. It was her rise fall, and rise again that sets her apart from other Days of Our Lives characters.
The return of the Days star begins on March 8, 2012. Filming will begin this week.
