Slammer Tour stalwart Lisa Muise (Iron Maiden) became the first woman to ascend to the No. 1 ranking spot during the tour’s outdoor season when she triumphed over Dan Beaudry (Go Tee) at Chateau Cartier.

Muise has now occupied the top rung of the rankings in both the outdoor and indoor seasons.

Her victory at Chateau Cartier came by way of draining a birdie putt on the 18th hole to prevail one-up in the close match.

Muise started on the Slammer Tour in 2008 and has many achievements listed in the tour’s record books, including being the only player to win the Slammer of the Year award twice.

She makes her first defence from the lofty perch today at Pine View Golf Course.

Along with play at Pine View, there will be Slammers competing this week at The Canadian, The Marshes, Lombard Glen, Manderley, Buckingham and Carleton.
