Lisa Marie Presley has something big planned for fans as she is touring the United States. Besides debuting a new song, inviting fans and friends to join her in new charity work, and giving a free concert, the singing sensation is going to host a personal presentation at Graceland, Elvis Presley’s Memphis mansion and Lisa’s childhood home.
Tickets are on sale now for a VIP package which includes concert admission to the show at Levitt Shell in Memphis’ Overton Park on September 21. Overton Park was the site of Elvis’ first professional performance in 1954. After the show, guests will meet Lisa Marie Presley as she hosts a first-ever, private meet and greet at Graceland's Elvis Presley Automobile Museum. Guests will be treated to an informative Q & A session with Lisa Marie, a special one-on-one photo opportunity, and then a rare night tour of Graceland with one of the most informed tour guides of Graceland. A percentage of tickets proceeds benefit World Vision. Millions of people tour Graceland every year, but none of them have visited with someone who grew up here, someone so close to Elvis’ heart – until now!
During this tour, Lisa Presley will be introducing fans to her new charity partner, World Vision. World Vision addresses the root causes of poverty through community development, disaster preparedness and response, and advocacy. World Vision works in approximately 100 countries and has existed for over 60 years, By asking her fans to join her in making the world a better place for children, Presley is adding her voice to other World Vision artists, whose fans have already sponsored over one million children. Presley and her family sponsor children in Zambia, Myanmar, Ghana and Kenya. Presley explains, “I am very excited to align myself and this tour with World Vision. There will be a display table set up at each show with picture folders of children from all over the world who desperately need to be sponsored.” Presley vows, “I will consider it my personal duty to get as many of these children sponsored at each show as possible.” The first 10 people who sponsor a child from the World Vision booth at the Memphis concert will receive a ticket to an exclusive post-show VIP Event at Graceland.
Presley is debuting a new song on the tour: “People,” which she co-wrote with Future Cut during the Storm & Grace sessions; Presley felt the song would be a perfect fit for the AMC original series “The Walking Dead.” Michael Lockwood produced “People”.
Lisa Marie Presley kicked off the third leg of her “Storm & Grace” tour on August 27 in Newberg, Oregon. Her tour includes several stops in Tennessee. She will perform at 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville on September 20 as part of the 14th Annual Americana Music Festival & Conference, curated by the Americana Music Association and presented by Nissan. From Nashville Presley moves across state to the free show at Levitt Shell in Memphis.
Presley will tour again, and she is preparing to record new material. She discussed this tour with examiner.com while she visited Nashville at the 2013 Fan Fare.
