Lisa Marie Presley credits a low-carb, organic diet and daily 30-minute walks for her stunning weight loss. Presley, 46, has dropped to her high-school weight, and has never felt better.

"I'm at the weight I was at when I was a teenager," the mother of four told People March 29. Lisa Marie's daily diet now consists of vegetables, chicken, fish, nuts, fruit, almond milk, and fresh juices.

Dad Elvis's Early Death Was Wakeup Call

Presley's weight has fluctuated dramatically over the years, but in 2012 she overhauled her diet and started working out regularly after considering her family history of obesity and heart disease. Lisa Marie's father, the late Elvis Presley, died at 42 after battling drug and food addictions.

My father's side is totally not healthy and they have shorter life spans, while my mom's side is super-fit with long life spans, and I didn't know where I would land. So I said, 'I'm going to play it safe and try to be as healthy as I can be.' "

Presley said her biggest weight-loss secret is portion control and limiting carbs. "I eat half of what I am given, especially when I have carbs or grains," she said. "I just had avocado with feta cheese on toast with some spinach. Last night I had vegetable chicken curry. I watch the rice, obviously. I'll have a fistful."

For exercise, Lisa Marie does daily 30-minute walking workouts. While Presley has battled weight issues most of her adult life, she never fell prey to the harrowing drug addiction that marred the lives of her father Elvis and her late husband, Michael Jackson.

'I Love How My Clothes Fit'

In 2010, Presley told Oprah Winfrey she never suspected the shocking scope of Jackson's drug addiction during their 1994-1995 marriage.

When Jackson died in June 2009 at age 50 from an overdose of the potent sedative Propofol, Lisa Marie was completely shocked. "I was floored," she said. "Honestly floored. Michael was an incredible, dynamic person. He was like a drug for me."

Now happily married and healthier than ever, Presley is in a great space physically and mentally. "I love the way clothes fit right now," she said. "Eating clean and organic is best."

Lisa Marie and her guitarist husband, Michael Lockwood, are currently on tour in Australia performing her new album Storm & Grace.
