A lip-reader has decoded the gibe that caused Michelle Obama to shade House Speaker John Boehner on Monday. The video of the First Lady giving Boehner the evil eye and shaking her head has gone viral on the Web.
The lip-reader, Larry Wenig, spoke to TV's "Inside Edition" on Tuesday.
Wenig examined video of the exchange between President Barack Obama and John Boehner. He concluded that Boehner, who is known to be a chain smoker, asked the POTUS if he had smoked a cigarette before the luncheon at which the video was taken.
Obama is known to have given up smoking three years ago.
However, the Speaker then suggested that the FLOTUS, who like many spouses is looking after her husband's health, was behind the POTUS' dropping smoking.
According to Wenig, Boehner said, "Somebody won't let you do it." At which point Michelle Obama gave him a couple of looks and rolled her eyes.
