Lipstick lovers everywhere love their matte lipsticks but find that they are especially hard to wear because they’re hyper pigmented dry and don’t blend easily at all. But the color you get makes your lips look amazing and normally lasts for hours. So what would you think if you found a lipstick that was matte but came in the form of a lip gloss?
An increasing number of brands are jumping in on that bandwagon. Hourglass Opaque Rogue Liquid Lipstick is one that provides exceptional longevity without flaking or drying. Unlike matte lipsticks, it’s made with moisturizers to keep your lips silky smooth and soft all day.
Another long lasting matte lip-gloss is Kat Von D’s Everlasting Love Liquid Lipstick. Not only does it come in lip-gloss form but it literally lasts forever.
If you want a matte lipstick that comes in lots of different shades go with Nyx’s Soft Matte Lip Cream which goes on a bit thicker than the others but worth it for the colors it comes in. If you prefer more neutral colors opt for a color from the Sephora Collections Cream Lip Stain.
If you have the extra money and prefer a more high end brand, Armani and Guerlain both make matte lip glosses. Armani’s Lip Maestro is rich in pigment and last all day. One coat is all you’ll need and as it fades out it turns into a lovely stain the same shade as you originally started with. Guerlain’s Rouge G L’Extrait Lip Color is a little more expensive at $50 each but is made with with hyaluronic acid and other ingredients that simulate collagen and plump your lips as well making the price well worth the product.
