Lionsgate/Summit releases trailer for ‘Red 2′

While there is still no sequel to the fun and popular comic book miniseries Red, fans of the series can rejoice in that the characters live on in "Red 2", the upcoming sequel to the 2010 film. Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber, the scribes who adapted the comic series in 2010, wrote a continuation of the Frank Moses character (played by Bruce Willis). This time, the story revolves around Frank Moses being hunted down by various assassins while a nuke goes missing.

The entire "Retired, Extremely Dangerous (RED)" gang is now joined by Catherine Zeta-Jones, Lee Byung-hun, and Anthony Hopkins. Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, and Helen Mirren are reprising the roles they played in the 2010 breakout film. Dean Parisot directed the ensemble cast. The Lionsgate/Summit film is scheduled to open on August 2, 2013.

Judging from the trailer, it is going to be another fun ride for fans of the comic book miniseries.
