On Sept. 24, Lionsgate Home Entertainment revealed the release dates for “Duck Dynasty: I’m Dreaming of a Redneck Christmas” and a second new DVD titled “The Best of Dance Moms: The Championship Dances.” The information was sent to the press on Tuesday morning via an email.
“Duck Dynasty” is a pop culture phenomenon. Xfinity on Demand voted it “The Most Viewed New TV Series.” A&E ratings surged more than 20% this spring, mainly due to the runaway success of “Duck Dynasty.” The show was far and away the No. 1 program in all categories, including adults 18-49 (7.51 million or 5.9 rating) and total viewers (13 million), according to live-plus 7 Nielsen data. New episodes air every Wednesday night.

“Dance Moms” is Lifetime’s newest hit TV series that revolves around controversial dance studio owner, Abby Lee Miller, her young students, and their always-present moms. Viewers often criticize Miller’s strict, no-nonsense approach, but many of her students have moved on from her dance studio to perform professionally, plus many win scholarships to major events all across the country.
The third season wrapped up on Sept. 13, but a fourth season of “Dance Moms” is on the way. During the reunion special, Abby Lee Miller announced that she would hold open casting calls in each of the cities where her team competes.
