“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” is still in some theaters across the country, but that didn’t stop Lionsgate from announcing plans for the home release of chapter two in the hit trilogy. The distribution company today announced that “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” will arrive in living rooms across all mediums on March 7.
The Blu-Ray Combo Pack(which has become quite common in home releases) will include Blu-Ray and DVD discs, and access to digital download with Ultraviolet technology. The Blu-Ray will include a nine-part feature-length documentary called “Surviving the Game: Making Catching Fire.” Both the Blu-Ray and the DVD will have deleted scenes, audio commentary with director Francis Lawrence and producer Nina Jacobson, and a sneak peek of “Divergent”, the next young adult book trilogy seeking success on the silver screen.
“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” is the 12th highest-grossing film of all time, and has been setting all kinds of box office records since its release on November 22 of last year. “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1” kicks off the trilogy’s final installment this November.
