The Week 3 NFL online and TV schedule has a full slate of games today and for many teams it’s already a must win weekend! One of those teams is the Washington Redskins. The Skins are in danger of falling to 0-3 on the season today when they face the Detroit Lions. Fans can catch all the action for the Lions vs. Redskins starting at 1:00 p.m. EST on FOX.
When it comes the the Redskins, everyone knows the team goes as RG3 goes.
According to a Sportsline report on Sept 22, Griffin is ready to do whatever it takes to get the Redskins their first win, even if it means he will be the leading rusher. Starting the season 0-3 is not good for any team in the NFL, and the Redskins hope to avoid the franchise's worst start in 12 years Sunday when they try to extend a 21-game home winning streak vs. the Lions.
Griffin hasn't looked the same since tearing his ACL in the playoffs, but in fairness the first two games of the season were his preseason. No matter how good athletes are, practice is not like the game.
Griffin didn’t see one snap in the 2013 preseason and so far it has shown.
The big question is can the Lions keep Griffin under control and get their first win in DC since…forever!
For the Lions to end this streak they need Reggie Bush.
Let me say that again, the need Reggie Bush, and they need him to play well!
Bush gives the Lions another star for defenses to keep their eye on. When he plays well, like he did vs. the Vikings its adds a dimension the Lions sorely miss and it frees up options on WR Calvin Johnson.
Most Las Vegas odds makers have this game at a pick, while some have Detroit -1.
I don’t remember the Lions being a favorite on the road, let alone in a place they just can’t win. Last week’s stumble vs. an Arizona team that I don’t think is very good made me think twice about how good they may be this year.
A win vs the Skins would go miles in confidence, but I don’t think they will get it.
Pick: Washington +1
