Jewelry is the easiest way to add a dash of personality to an outfit, and necklaces and other jewelry with a little character can be great conversation starters. I’ve been obsessing over lions and lion head jewelry for years, and – thanks to Etsy and eBay – there are so many vintage options, as well as new ones.
A small, gold lion head on a long chain is so simple, yet so unique- you don’t have to have expensive jewels to make a statement; adding little trinkets like a pair of lion head door knocker earrings (for under $25!) stand on their own.
Not to ignore the rest of the animal kingdom, because there are so many cool charms, pendants, and designs out there for all species, but lions are powerful animals, and wearing them evokes a sense of strength and wisdom without being kitschy or cliché. Throw on a necklace, a pair of earrings or a ring to add interest to a work look, or stay casual on the weekends and wear them with jeans and a tee. Who knew lions were the kings of the jewelry jungle as well.
