Linnaeus Teaching Garden to reopen on Tuesday, March 5th

The Linnaeus Teaching Garden in the Tulsa Garden Center is set to open after a winter's respite on Tuesday, March 5, 2013. The scheduled days are Tuesday through Saturday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and beginning Mother's Day will be open Sundays 1 - 4 p.m. through the month of August.

The garden is kicking off the new season with 2 workshops this month.

The first is called Basics of Pruning. On Saturday, March 9th, Richard Bewley of AEP/PSO will have a hands-on demonstration of tree and shrub pruning from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Advanced registration is requested.

Growing Edible Fruits in Your Backyard is the second workshop. Learn how to grow fruit in your own backyard with LeeAnne Barton from Dave Wilson Nursery of California and Barry Fugatt, Tulsa Garden Center's Director of Horticulture on Saturday, March 16 from 9:30 a.m. - 12 noon.
