While they are well known as one of rock music's largest bands, Los Angeles based Linkin Park are also one of the most philanthropic groups in popular music. Via their foundation Music for Relief, the band has performed a number of high profile events and raised millions of dollars for organizations assisting in global disaster relief efforts. Linkin Park's latest charity effort is set to take place on January 11th at the Club Nokia in Downtown, Los Angeles when the band performs along with The Offspring and Bad Religion in support of typhoon relief for the Philippines. To assist in its efforts and ensure the proceeds are put to good use, the band has partnered with International Medical Corp to aide the ground.
Tickets for the intimate event are available to fans who raise a minimum of $250 for the cause via the Music for Relief CrowdRise page. The top 75 fundraisers overall will get a special VIP package including ticket plus meet & greets with the bands, special reserved seating, VIP pre-party, parking, and a commemorative merchandise.
