After much anticipation from excited festival go-ers and music lovers who've been frequently hitting the "refresh" button on the festival's website, Coachella posted their annual lineup release photo on their facebook page late last night.
Main stage headliners are Phoenix, The Stone Roses, Blur, and Hall of Fame-ers Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Other notable alternative acts include Modest Mouse, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, newly reunited The Postal Service, Vampire Weekend, Passion Pit, Of Monsters And Men, Two Door Cinema Club, Violent Femmes, Portugal. The Man, FOALS, The Wombats, Mona, The Gaslight Anthem, Little Green Cars, White Arrows, Biffy Clyro, and Skinny Lister.
Looks like some of the rumors, like The Rolling Stones rumor, have been finally put to rest.
As with every year there are definitely mixed feelings about the lineup, but a facebook comment declares "If you are going to Coachella for the line-up, you are going for the wrong reasons."
Of course music isn't the only thing Coachella embraces - there are magnificent displays of art all over the Empire Polo Club grounds; after all it is called the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.
In April tons of people flood into Indio, California for the festival; some go for the music, some go for the overall experience, but music plays a huge part in a festival go-er's experience. The lineup definitely matters!
Perhaps the nation's hottest must festival, Coachella will run for two weekends again this year and tickets will go on sale for both weekends on Tuesday, Jan. 29. Check out everything you need to know on coachella.com!
