We start things off this month with some live music in Chicago. The Fizz hosts swing dancing upstairs every Monday night at 9 p.m. Admission is $10. What makes March 3rd special is that you get to dance to the live music of The Jeremy Mohney Quartet. Check out a sample of their work with a great swing steal dance in the above video.

Tri City Swing is once again hosting the musical styling of Miss Jubilee and the Humdingers. This time you will be able to find them in the larger venue of Baker Community Center. The party is Friday, March 7, starting at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $12.

For a limited time, you can register for four hours of Lindy Hop workshops plus an evening dance for only $50. Join instructors Jon Tigert and Jenna Applegarth in Chicago on March 8th for this amazing opportunity. Only the first forty leads and follows will be able to attend. The event takes place at Erie Elementary Charter School, and is only for those who have prior swing out knowledge.

If you are in the Champaign area March 14-16, be sure to check out the annual Bubble City Bash. This year, the instructors will be Nathan Bugh and Evita Arce from New York City. This will be a full weekend of Lindy Hop classes and dances. Pricing depends on when you register, how much you attend, and your student status. Maximum admission for the whole weekend for a non-student is only $100.

Forest City Swing is having dance workshops Saturday, March 15. Go to one of their weekly Rockford dances to get signed up. They will teach the Shim Sham, and have two classes teaching basics and beyond for Lindy Hop. If you get registered before March 13, you can get all three classes for $25. You can also pick and choose amongst the classes for $10 a piece.
