Lindsey Vonn's return to skiing is going to have to wait for a bit. Though the World Cup season begins this weekend, Vonn's knee injury and subsequent recovery is preventing her from getting back on the slopes quite yet. CNN shared the details on Oct. 23.
The knee injury happened in February during the Alpine Ski World Championships. Lindsey Vonn has been working on rehabbing it ever since. Vonn says that training camp went well, but she feels she needs more training before returning to competitive skiing.
Vonn added, “Patience is not my strong suit so not racing is hard for me but it will only make me more excited for the next one.” Of course fans know that in addition to working on rehabbing her knee, she's also spent the months since her injury dating pro golfer Tiger Woods.
Lindsey Vonn shares that she does aim to be at the Beaver Creek World Cup event taking place Nov. 29 in Colorado.
