Lindsey Vonn tweeted photos of her leg injury on the social media site Thursday after having surgery done to repair her ACL and MCL last Sunday, YardBarker reports Feb. 16. Vonn had a horrific accident while competing at the Alpine World Championships in Schladming, Austria in early February.
Vonn tweeted the following with the leg injury photos:
“My knee looks… um… not very good…. #longskirtsthissummer #ugh.”
The photos of Vonn's injured legs appear somewhat gruesome with the bandages, bruising, and swollen reaction. Surgery isn't known to leave an immediate attractive appearance on the body. The procedure is believed to help Vonn return to competitive skiing again with aggressive rehabilitation, her doctors confirmed.
As ambitious as Olympic athletes are, it's easy to see Lindsey Vonn back on the slopes when she's ready to put a pair of skis on again.
