Lindsey Vonn crashes and breaks her finger during women’s giant slalom at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Wednesday, US’s Lindsey Vonn broke her pinkie finger during a crash in the women’s giant slalom. Vonn is scheduled to ski in the final women’s skiing slalom event.

Lindsey Vonn has already won two medals at the Winter Olympic Games; Vonn won the Gold in Alpine Skiing Women’s Downhill and the Bronze medal in the Alpine Skiing Women’s Super-G.  For more information on Vonn's medals, click here.

Number 17 to ski the mountain during the giant slalom event, Vonn skidded and crashed in the middle of the course. Vonn hit a bump, and crashed into a fence.

Vonn has several crashes during Olympic events, including one last week during the super combined. She also started the 2010 Olympic Games with a shin injury that almost kept her from competing, but with all of the weather postponements she had additional time to heal.

The second run during the giant slalom was postponed until Thursday morning because of the weather.

Four Utah athletes have won medals at the 2010 Olympic Games; including Apolo Anton Ohno who lives in Salt Lake City and Saturday he won the Bronze medal in the Short Track 1000m, he now holds the record for the most medals won at the Winter Olympic Games of any US athlete.  For more information on Ohno wins, click here.
