Lindsey Vonn airlifted to hospital after accident (Video)

Lindsey Vonn airlifted to the hospital after a skiing accident? Unfortunately, the reports that the beautiful skier was seriously injured and transported to a medical facility via hospital are true. Vonn was competing in the Alpine World Championships in Schladming, Austria on Feb. 5, 2013 when the incident took place, according to TMZ.

Vonn was landing a jump when she lost her balance. One of her skis broke loose and she collided with a gate. Before Lindsey Vonn was airlifted off the slope, she was examined by a doctor for around 10 minutes. The doctor reportedly said Vonn had broken her shinbone in the accident.

Lindsey Vonn is currently being treated at an unspecified Austrian hospital. In November 2012, the athlete and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model was admitted to a Vail, Colo. hospital for a different reason. She was experiencing intestinal pain that caused her to cancel a scheduled promotional event in Vail.
