On Feb. 5, Lindsey Vonn was hurt while competing in the Alpine World Championships held in Schladming, Austria. According to a number of sources including CNN, the 28-year-old executed a jump during the super-G and lost her balance, losing a ski in the process after which time she collided with a gate as a result of the miscalculation.

This high profile athlete who is said to be dating Tiger Woods was then airlifted to the closest medical facility where she was waiting to be sent to another hospital in short order. Prior to her helicopter ride, Lindsay was attended to by physicians who spent ten minutes on the slope examine and assessing the pro skier's condition before sending her on her way.

So what was the outcome of this terrible crash that caused Lindsay Vonn to be airlifted off the slopes?

According to a doctor's report, Lindsey ended up with a break in her shinbone, known medically as a tibial plateau fracture. According to the AP via MSN, Austria's ski federation president Peter Schroecksnadel asserted that this is "the only injury she has, nothing besides this."

According to MSN, this is Vonn's sixth straight major championship during which time the skier has suffered injuries. The injury comes almost a one year prior to the Winter Olympics 2014 opening ceremonies in Sochi, Russia.

As for Tiger Woods' reaction to this most recent situation regarding Lindsey Vonn?

That hasn't been reported as of yet although Lindsay Von has allegedly been teaching his tiny kids how to ski. She has also told reporters that she is not the golfer's new squeeze.

"We are just friends," insisted Vonn said to Denver Post writer John Meyer while in Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada, after winning the World Cup downhill. She said she became close to Tiger by way of her brother who was ski instructor to the Woods' kids before Lindsey took over.

Vonn had previously been linked to Tim Tebow but when those rumors panned out, they turned out to be false.

Meanwhile, in Austria, Lindsey Vonn is now in trouble after a fall while skiing and has been airlifted off the slopes and to a hospital for help.
