Lindsay Lohan is too sick to go to her court hearing on Jan. 30, 2013 and reportedly she's trying to use a doctor's note to get her out of her obligation to appear in a Los Angeles courtroom on Wednesday.
US Weekly reports that the "Liz & Dick" actress is currently in New York and claims that she has the flu and can't travel to Los Angeles for the court hearing.
Judge Stephanie Sautner reportedly received a notice from Lohan on Jan. 29 that states she has a note from a physician who indicates that she is not healthy enough to fly from New York to Los Angeles on Wednesday.
However, photos posted on TMZ show Lohan shopping in New York this past weekend. Unless she suddenly came down with the flu, it appears that Lindsay is not as sick as her doctor's note states.
The last time Lindsay Lohan skipped an appearance in court was 2010. CNN reports that Lohan claimed that she was in France and couldn't appear into court because she lost her passport.
A warrant was issued for her arrest but her attorney, Shawn Holley, arranged a bond before anyone could arrest the often troubled starlet.
What is Lindsay Lohan due in court for this time? She is being charged with violating her probation after a car crash in June 2012. She is accused of providing false information to the police as well as being charged with reckless driving.
Her trial is set for February, but she may have some issues with her legal representation. US Weekly reports that her lawyer, Mark Heller, is not licensed to practice law in California.
That may pose a problem since both the hearing that Lohan is trying to skip out on and the upcoming trial are all due to be held in Los Angeles.
