Lindsay Lohan takes plea deal, will be locked up in rehab for 90 days to start (Video)

Lindsay Lohan accepted a last minute plea deal in a Los Angeles courtroom Monday for lying to cops last summer following her crash on the PCH in Santa Monica. Lindsay nearly missed the court date, even arriving nearly 50 minutes late. Lohan had rejected any form of punishment previously, alleging she was not guilty of anything and insisting she had no alcohol or substance abuse problem. But today, the “Liz & Dick” actress accepted a guilty plea on the three misdemeanors and took a 90 stint in rehab as part of her sentence, according to the L.A. Times Monday, March 18.

Lindsay Lohan will spent 90 days in a locked rehabilitation facility, as well as performing 30 days of community service back in New York, and agreeing to 18 months of psychotherapy.

Lindsay faced one misdemeanor count each of reckless driving, providing false information to an officer and willfully resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer stemming from the June auto accident.

Lohan claimed she wasn’t driving the Porsche SUV that slammed into the back of a dump truck. Her former assistant Gavin Doyle was prepared to testify against her in the case.

The 26 year-old troubled actress also faced a probation violation for a 2011 shoplifting conviction involving taking a necklace from a Venice jewelry store.

Lindsay showed up late for court because as TMZ reported yesterday, she skipped her initial flight in order to party at a club in New York and hear a band called “City of the Sun”.

Reports circulated this morning that Lohan bailed on the last flight out of New York last night because she had a bad feeling and thought something might be wrong with the plane.

“Mr. Pink”, an energy drink concern the actress is a spokesperson for, allegedly ponied up $50,000 for a private jet to transport Ms. Lohan to her court appearance in the middle of the night.
