Lindsay Lohan has filed a $1million lawsuit against her former fashion partner, D.N.A.M. Apparel Industries LLC, Thursday, Jan. 31, coincidentally falling on the same day it was reported that Lady Gaga denied a $1 million dollar loan to the actress.
During Danielle Monaro’s Z100 Thursday morning celebrity gossip rant, "The Daily Sleaze", the radio personality dished about Lady Gaga and Lindsay Lohan. Apparently Gaga offered LiLo $1 million last year to help with her legal issues. However, when Lohan went to cash in on Lady Gaga’s generous offer, the “Poker Face” singer took away her ante, denying LiLo any money.
One million dollars seems to be the magic number as Lindsay Lohan’s lawyers filed suit for a similar amount on Thursday along with renewed control of the branding rights and trademarks against her former fashion collaborators of the 6126 Collection, just as LiLo heads back to court for her amassing legal issues.
The 6126 Collection originally began as a legging line for Lohan, with aspirations to branch further into women’s apparel, accessories and cosmetics.
According to the “Wall Street Journal”, LiLo filed a breach of contract, fraud and trademark infringement lawsuit seeking over $1.1 million of royalties and other fees from D.N.A.M. Apparel Industries LLC, claiming the fashion brand failed to follow through on its promises.
Lindsay Lohan’s attorney told the “Wall Street Journal” the lawsuit arose out of her love of fashion and plans on designing a clothing line soon with a new company. Wonder if LiLo’s apparel will be inspired by her latest legal ordeals, featuring black and white stripes and orange jumpsuits?
