Hoping to renew her mind, body and spirit after leaving rehab, troubled actress Lindsay Lohan is turning to holistic health practices for help, reported Parade magazine. From her natural vitamin supplement regime to sweat lodges to spirituality and beyond, Lindsay is seeking ways to cleanse and detoxify her body and life.
- A sweat lodge: Sweat houses are used to literally sweat out impurities in the body and, beyond that, as a ritual for healing and detoxification.
- Spirituality: "I feel whole again and I have such a desire to want to keep this feeling and stay this way, and I’m willing to do whatever it takes," Lindsay told Oprah. "There are so many powers greater than me in the world. I’ve been blessed and lucky enough to have been given a gift to share with other people, and I think for so long I’ve kept that so locked down and chained down, just by creating this whirlwind of garbage around myself.”
- Vitamin supplement regime: No more drugs, says Lindsay, only vitamins to enhance her health.
- Yoga: “Lindsay’s been going to the gym, doing spinning and yoga," a source told Radar Online.
However, she may not be out of the danger zone, according to TMZ. She's been spending time with friends who also have backgrounds riddled with drug usage. And, TMZ reports, "Here's the flaw in that argument ... multiple drug counselors -- from reputable clinics -- tell us Lindsay's playing with fire by hanging with old friends connected to her partying ways. Most counselors told us ... it's "not recommended" for recovering addicts to hang with another addict -- especially if it's been a short stretch since they got out of rehab."
What do you think? Will Lindsay continue to make strides to recovery with her lifestyle change?
