Lindsay Lohan's Sevin Nyne Tanning Mist

Lindsay LohanStars look great all of the time, don't they?  I mean they should, they get paid to be fabulous all of the time. (not to mention the fact that they have the resources to look great all of the time)  I guess that is why when a celebrity sees a "need" in the market for a product that will help us regular folks look as fabulous as they do, the buzz is phenomenal.  Lindsay Lohan's Sevin Nyne Tanning Mist is no exception.

Sevin Nyne launched officially at Sephora stores nationwide on May, 1 and will only be available for a limited time.  Now, I am all for a great beauty product that smells great, and gives you that "red carpet ready" look on a budget- and Sevin Nyne promises to do just that.  Why wouldn't I try it out? I won't actually go to a tanning salon, and I do not have the time nor ignorance to lay out and bake all summer long.  But I can't remember the last time I saw Lindsay with a tan.....(except in this promo photo).

Anyways, Sevin Nyne smells great, which is a big plus since most self tanners smell like you bathed in chemicals.  And I am all for a wee bit of shimmer, which is something that Sevin Nyne also offers.  BUT, I must say, I was quite displeased with the fact that it did run, leaving a few streaks. These streaks were nothing that I could not blend - they were not as noticable on me because of my skin tone (I do feel sorry for the super-fair ladies out there).  I have encountered this problem with other self tanners before, which is why I usually use self tanning lotions.  Also, it left my bathroom a mess.  Nice color on the walls, though.

All in all, the product faired pretty well.  I didn't feel "red carpet" fancy, but I looked okay.  I would imagine that this product would live up to all of its hype if you had someone actually spray you down to ensure even coverage.  That just might work.  Nevertheless, for $35, I could of stuck with my Clarins self tanner (which is fantastic!),  or if I was really feeling parsimonious; Jergens Natural Glow (which is a great color pick-me-up for self tanners).  What do you think?
