According to TMZ on March 1, Lindsay Lohan's attorney, Mark Heller, was told that he was incompetent by the judge. The judge, Jim Dabney, said that Heller was incompetent to practice law in California. Dabney gave Lindsay two choices: either get another lawyer who knows what he's doing or waive her right to a competent California lawyer.
Apparently Heller screwed up the legal documents so bad that Judge Dabney told Heller that he does not understand how criminal law works. Ouch. Lindsay will have to make a choice because it could very well affect the outcome of her case.
A plea deal was in discussion this week, but no agreement was made.
Prosecutor Terry White told the judge that he is ready for trial on March 18. Will Lindsay have enough time to get a new lawyer and get prepared for a trial? What are your thoughts?
On January 30, 2013 Lindsay appeared in court in Los Angeles, California. Lohan is charged with misdemeanor counts involving a car crash, willfully resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer, providing false information to an officer and reckless driving.
