Lindsay Lohan’s lawsuit against Pitbull goes down in flames (Photos)

Back in in 2011, rapper, songwriter, and record producer, Pitbull, a.k.a. Armando Christian Perez, released his single "Give Me Everything," wherein he penned the lyrics “… So, I'm toptoein', to keep flowin', I got it locked up, like Lindsay Lohan." Lindsay, whose career has been relegated to the tabloids as of late, sued Pitbull for those lyrics saying that in addition to violating her publicity and publicity rights, they also “caused her emotional distress.”

On Feb. 21, the judge hearing Lindsay’s case dismissed that suit, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In dismissing the lawsuit, U.S. District Judge Denis Hurley wrote:

"The fact that the Song was presumably created and distributed for the purpose of making a profit does not mean that plaintiff's name was used for 'advertising' or 'purposes of trade' within the meaning of the New York Civil Rights Law."

You can see the judge’s complete ruling here.

To add insult to injury, Lindsay’s lawyer, Stephanie Ovadia, was sanctioned for plagiarism in that same lawsuit when it was discovered that her briefs were “plagiarized from newspapers, law firms and other education websites.”

Ovadia’s explanation to the court was that “an early draft had inadvertently been used and that an amended court brief had been attempted to have been substituted,” an explanation that didn’t sit too well with the judge.

Ovadia was fined $750 for "an affront to the Court."
