Lindsay Lohan took to her own website Saturday to clear up reports surrounding her absence from the Venice Film Festival Friday to promote her latest flick "The Canyons". Lindsay wrote a message expressing her gratitude, and basically saying her health is priority number one for her right now. Meanwhile, reports also emerged yesterday showing Lohan is back behind the wheel driving again.
Lindsay posted a postcard on her website with a caption in which she thanked the cast, producers and director Paul Schrader for the opportunity to work on the film.
But she also claimed in her message that she was never confirmed to attend to festival in the first place. It is good to see that so far Lindsay seems to continue to be taking her sobriety seriously.
Then again, with all the negative press surrounding "The Canyons", maybe Lindsay just didn't want to continue to associate herself with the movie.
Or, could there be bad blood between Lohan, 27, and Schrader? Us Weekly reported Friday he called her out in a press conference at the film festival, calling her absence "unspeakable".
Meanwhile, TMZ reported that Lindsay Lohan is back behind the wheel. She was photographed climbing into the drivers seat of a Porsche Panamera Friday in New York City.
Scarily she's talking on a cell phone in the photo, but she did hang up before driving off.
With Lindsay's driving record and having just served out the 90-day rehab lockdown for her last accident, you've got to wonder how the troubled actress still has a valid driver's license.
TMZ wrote Lindsay should have learned two things over the last few years. "...drugs are dangerous, and she's a dangerous driver...maybe she learned only one of them".
With Lohan's driving history, the car wrecks, DUIs and claims she struck multiple pedestrians, you also gotta ask, is driving really the best thing she can do for her health?
