Although Lindsay Lohan is being confronted with a great deal of legal problems, she may not be heading for jail even though it appears she may have been drinking when she crashed her Porsche last June. Today, Feb. 27, 2013, TMZ has reported, Lindsay Lohan Smelled of Booze After Crash, New Plea Deal in Works. TMZ has learned Lindsay Lohan may have been drinking just before she crashed her Porsche last June on Pacific Coast Highway in California.
Prosecutors are nevertheless offering Lindsay a new plea deal which does not involve jail.
Although a bottle of alcohol was found next to Lindsay's Porsche, and apparently her breath smelled of alcohol, at the scene of the crash, the cops failed to perform a field sobriety test. And so now the Santa Monica City Attorney is prepared to offer Lindsay 60 days in a residential rehab facility in this lying-to-cops case, at which time she said she wasn't driving the Porsche. The City Attorney also wants Lindsay to attend another set of AA meetings and to do community service.
Fox News has also covered Lindsay's legal troubles with an Associated Press report, Lindsay Lohan's attorney seeks deal with prosecutors, suggests actress work as a motivational speaker. In a letter filed in court, written by her lawyer, Mark Heller, it has been suggested to prosecutors that Lindsay serve as a motivational speaker and perform non-jail activities to resolve her latest criminal case. She could be sent to jail if a judge makes a determination her actions in the traffic crash violated terms of her probation in a previous theft case. It looks like a no win situation for Lindsay, because clearly jail is a horrible place to be, and the psychiatrists are all dangerous reactionary quacks who will simply burn her brains in retaliation for her many sins, if they get their hands on her.
