Lindsay Lohan's bodyguard to testify at criminal trial

Lindsay Lohan’s bodyguard will have to testify at the upcoming trial, according to Radaronline.com on March 5.

The former Disney star is charged with lying to police after she slammed her car into a truck last summer and denied she was behind the wheel. Lohan allegedly told the authorities she wasn’t driving but the evidence shows she was the driver.

Sources tell the website, the bodyguard followed the 26-year-old's Porsche as she headed to work that day.

"He was hired by the production company of the Liz & Dick television movie Lohan was working on to keep an eye on her and make sure she turned up to the set each day. Obviously, as he was right behind the car, he witnessed who was driving, and how the crash went down."

"He was also the person who drove Lohan to the hospital after the accident, so his testimony will be vital in establishing Lindsay’s state of mind immediately after the crash and what exactly happened. The bodyguard is a reluctant witness and doesn’t want to testify, but he has no choice in the matter now as he has been subpoenaed," the source added.

Meanwhile, Lohan’s lawyer Mark Heller has reportedly tried to negotiate a plea deal but an agreement has not been reached.

Lohan’s criminal trial is set to begin March 18.
