Lindsay Lohan officially changing her name

Lindsay Lohan says she's ready to lose the 'Lohan'.

According to a report filed by celebrity gossip website PopEater on Friday, Lindsay Lohan will be opting to join the ranks of Madonna, Cher and Rihanna and go simply by "Lindsay".

Lindsay's mother Dina Lohan told PopEater that the name change comes from a desire to disassociate herself from her father Michael Lohan, who was arrested on domestic violence charges earlier this week.

Dina Lohan also announced that she will be legally changing her own name back to her maiden moniker Dina Sullivan.
