Lindsay Lohan was reportedly such the consummate professional on the set of "Eastbound & Down" recently, that its star Danny McBride wants to take her talents with him when the the popular series wraps up. McBride's current show is nearing its end, and so he's in talks to develop a new show for HBO. Apparently he was so impressed by Lindsay Lohan on the set that he wants her to star in it, according to a story printed by TMZ on Saturday, Aug. 24.
Sources close to Lindsay revealed to the website that while guest starring on Eastbound & Down, Danny took such a shine to her that he is seriously considering her for his new show.
McBride was so impressed with 27-year-old Lohan's work on his program that he's looking to star the recently rehabbed actress in his new series.
He's supposedly had several serious talks with her on set about a new collaboration. The show is being developed by McBride and his producing partner Jody Hill.
It said to be in the same comedic vein as "Eastbound", but instead revolves around a high school. Insiders claim Lindsay is thrilled with the idea.
McBride currently stars as Kenny Powers, a former professional baseball pitcher who after an up and down career in the majors, is forced to return to his hometown middle-school in Shelby, N.C., as a substitute phys-ed teacher.
Cassandra Hough wrote on Crushable, that while it's a nice to think of Lohan getting back on top with a new show, it's also a possible recipe for disaster.
Hough noted that if this ends up working out, "it might actually have the ability to erase the train wrecks that were Liz & Dick and The Canyons".
That's a tall order, but good luck Lindsay!
