Lindsay Lohan loses her lawyer

It looks like Lindsay Lohan should have thought about firing her longtime lawyer, Shawn Holley, last week. Lohan is now begging Holley to stay on as her lawyer according to the New York Daily News on Jan. 23.

Holley has appeared for Lohan after the car crash arraignment on Jan. 15 and entered a plea of “not guilty” to keep her out of trouble. Lohan still had her New York lawyer, Mark Heller, send Holley the papers for essentially firing her.

Lohan is currently facing three misdemeanor charges for her June car crash on the Pacific Coast Highway. Lohan was still on probation shoplifting at the time of the accident.

If Lohan if found guilty of violating her probation due to the car crash, she could face up to 245 days in jail.

The new judge, Jane Godfrey has ordered Lohan to appear in person at the Jan. 20 pretrial hearing as well as the Feb. 27 trial. The probation violation charge will more than likely be heard at the same time of the trial.

Lindsay Lohan really needs to start taking these charges seriously. It is getting down to the wire and the actress may actually have to spend some time in jail. So far she has just blown them off and left it up to her lawyers.
