In a startling revelation, mom Dina Lohan said that actress Lindsay Lohan is so “screwed up” because of her dad, reports Huffington Post on Jan. 7.
In an interview, Dina Lohan spoke in defense of her daughter and said that her husband, Michael was largely responsible for Lindsay’s sorry state of affairs. She said, “Lindsay saw her dad abuse me and that’s why she’s so screwed up.”
Sharing details, Dina said that she was raped, hit and physically abused by Michael in their 22 years of marriage. Backing up the statements with medical reports, Dina showed that she treated for "blunt trauma" in 1986 and went to the emergency room to report a rape in 1990.
Although no charges were pressed, Lindsay who saw it all was hugely affected by her parents’ gruesome relationship. However, at that point, young Lindsay who didn’t want a broken home persuaded her mom to stay.
Talking about the agonizing past, Dina said, “Like many victims of domestic violence and rape, I was embarrassed and afraid. I was very young . . . I thought I could keep fixing him.” However, nothing like that happened.
When asked the reason for her sudden statement, Lohan said that she wanted to set the records straight and let the world know that “Lindsay is so messed up because her father is messed up.”
Husband Michael doesn’t accept any allegations and said, “She’s bringing this up now because she’s drinking and partying with Lindsay. And she keeps robbing Lindsay."
“She is the devil,” he added.
