Lindsay Lohan insists no addiction problem, sticking with 'incompetent' lawyer (Video)

Lindsay Lohan is apparently sticking with her new attorney Mark Heller, who was reamed in the L.A. courtroom by Judge James Dabney. The judge went so far as to call Heller "imcompetent". Lindsay is sticking up, for him and sticking with him, reports TMZ yesterday. Lohan is said to be frantically trying to get a plea deal in place before her March 18 court date. The 26 year-old "Mean Girls" actress is currently in court over her lying to cops about her car accident case from last June.

The hitch is the prosecution wants rehab as part of the deal, and Lindsay is dead set against it, saying she has no problem with alcohol or drugs. How someone can claim in court that they have no drug or alcohol problem with her record, and with multiple rehab stays in the past, is anybody’s guess.

A source tells Radar Online, “Los Angeles City Attorney Terry White has told Lindsay’s lawyer, Mark Heller, he would be willing to meet with her before the trial is scheduled to begin on March 18”.

Both sides are trying hard to hammer out a deal ahead of the court date, but Lindsay wants no jail time and no “compulsory rehab treatment”. A source claims White is not influenced by Lohan’s celebrity status and is treating her like any other defendant.

If Lindsay plays hardball and goes to court without a plea deal in place, she’ll likely be given the choice of a judge or jury trial.

Even then if she is acquitted of the lying to cops charges, she could still face jail time of up to 245 days for probation violation in her necklace theft case.
