Lindsay Lohan has out done herself

Well Lindsay Lohan has out done herself. This much sought after Hollywood icon who stared in such hits as; “The Parent Trap”, “Freaky Friday”, “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen”, and “Herbie Fully Loaded”, just to name a few has now done what most Hollywood celebrities can only dream of doing. She has achieved the greatest role of her career. To be portrayed as a god on the cover of a European fashion magazine must have taken Hollywood by storm. Thus making her the envy of her peers.

The fact is she is NO god, and to portray herself in the image of the one true God; Jesus Christ is an insult, not only to the Christian faith, but also to all faith’s. While she has the right to pursue such interests the Christian church also has a right, and I dare say the duty to refute such mockery targeted towards the founder of our faith.

If someone perpetuated such folly towards the founder of other faiths, there would be cataclysmic riots of epic proportion taking place in the highways and byways of Hollywood. So why is it okay to attack the founder of the Christian faith? Simple;

“The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” (2 Corinthians 4:4).

Satan is alive and well in the hearts of those who seek to lower Christ to a level that encompasses the same flawed human condition that haunts all of us. Thus assuming they’ve done something wonderful for all mankind.

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing” (1 Corinthians 1:18).

Who knows what the motives were, probably just some harmless publicity stunt meant to propagate controversy in order to sell magazines. But given the outspokenness of some Hollywood elites against Christianity, it wouldn’t be surprising to discover that it was just one of many attempts to portray Jesus Christ in a negative light.

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.” (Galatians 6:7-8)

So while the battle wages on for the souls of mankind, things such as this are likely to continue. Therefore, the only thing left to say is found in the words of Jesus Himself; “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” (Luke 23:34)
