Lindsay Lohan: 'Grand Theft Auto V' likeness

Lindsay Lohan, the controversial actress, may be suing the makers of Rockstar’s “Grand Theft Auto V” video game because she believes a likeness of her appears in the game. According to a Forbes report on Monday, Lohan has contacted her lawyers about the situation.

Though little is known about the potential lawsuit at this time, it is predicted that Lohan may have issue with the game’s paparazzi incidents in which alleged celebrities are targeted. One of the incidents in the game has a mission in which the game player is told to film an actress in a ‘compromising’ situation. The incident takes place at a place similar to the Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood. The Chateau Marmont hotel is a location where Lindsay is often found – as well as a place where she has lived in the past.

A TMZ report suggests that the image of a blond woman on the cover of the game could be Lohan, though another report claims the woman on the cover is Shelby Welinder, a model.

According to the report, the paparazzi episodes in the game satirize celebrities like Lohan. It is suggested that the game may have a mixture of various celebrities in the characters found in the game – rather than specifically being Lohan or other celebrities. Should Lohan go forward with a lawsuit, it is believed that it would be quite difficult for her lawyers to prove that she is the character in the game.

In the first three days on the market, ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ made $1 billion in sales. It has become the fastest-selling video game ever.
