Lindsay Lohan might not appreciate a new work of art featuring her likeness. According to an April 4 report by Yahoo! omg!, artist Jason Mecier has taken one man’s trash and turned it into another man’s treasure (if Lindsay can be considered a treasure) by creating a giant portrait of the “Mean Girls” actress made entirely out of garbage.
However, Jason Mecier isn’t trying to say that Lindsay is trashy with his odd artwork. He claims that he’s actually a big fan of the troubled starlet. Here’s what he said about Lilo: “I love Lindsay! I'm a huge fan! She seems to love publicity and controversy, so I think she will like it. It's all in fun. This portrait is glamorous and bad-ass! It would look great hanging in Lindsay's living room.”
Meanwhile Lindsay Lohan has been busy creating a little artwork of her own. Perhaps the gigantic bruises she was photographed sporting on her legs are just a bizarre new form of body art. At least the black and blue marks complemented her blue bikini.
So what kind of trash is Lindsay’s new portrait made out of? There’s an empty ketchup bottle, which could represent the time Lilo drained all the red out of her hair and decided to go platinum blonde. There’s also a bunch of forks, which could represent the time Lindsay lost a ton of weight. Other trash included in the sculpture includes a deodorant bottle, plastic pearls, an empty vodka bottle (of course), permanent markers, an empty eye drop bottle, an Altoids container, a Band-Aids box, a Summer’s Eve douche wrapper, a Nicorette box, a syringe, a pair of handcuffs, cigarette butts, a tampon, and a Monistat 7 box. So is everything in the work of art supposed to stand for something?
The funniest things scattered among the “garbage” are definitely a Lindsay Lohan CD and DVD boxes for her movies “Life Size” and “Freaky Friday.” Sadly, the portrait fails to really capture what Lilo looks like these days -- it’s too bright and cheery and actually makes Lindsay look fresh-faced.
So do you think that artist Jason Mecier was really honoring Lindsay with his trashy work of art, or is his masterpiece meant to poke fun at her downfall?
