Lindsay Lohan, the 26-year-old beleaguered actress who has come to be known more for her tabloid antics than her acting career of late, appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom today where she accepted a plea deal and agreed to stay in a "locked rehab facility” for 90 days, according to FOX News.
Lohan had a hearing scheduled for today to determine whether she goes to jail or averts a trial on charges that she lied to police over a June, 2012 car crash that briefly sent her to the hospital.

“She is to do 90 days at a locked rehab facility,” the judge explained. “She is not allowed to leave the facility at all.”
Lindsay will also be paying some fines, performing 30 days of community service, and attending 18 months’ worth of psychotherapy.
The judge also gave Lindsay some driving advice:
“Don’t drive.”
“You’re in New York. You don’t need to drive.”
Lindsay should consider herself fortunate that she caught the judge in a good mood, especially after missing a flight from N.Y. to L.A. and arriving 48 minutes late to her court hearing today.
Lindsay ended up accepting a ride on a private jet provided by an energy drink company she sponsors.
"Thanks Mr. Pink for the private jet see you all in a few hours in LA," she tweeted early Monday.
TMZ noted that someone threw glitter at Lindsay on her way into the courtroom. Perhaps that was her good luck charm.
