Lindsay Lohan is going back to rehab Lohan will return to rehab, escaping jail time on the order of notorious hard nosed judge Elden Fox, who was officially impressed with Lohan's progress.
Lindsay Lohan went to court yet again on Thursday morning. Lohan and her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley stood before judge Elden Fox as they awaited judgement over Lohan's probation violating cocaine use. Lindsay will be returning to rehab, escaping more jail time.
Lindsay will remain in the Betty Ford rehab center until January 3rd. Her scram bracelet will come off, however she will continue to be drug tested until her probation is up in 2011. According to TMZ, Lohan broke down into tears upon hearing she would escape jail time.
Lindsay Lohan tested positive for cocaine just weeks after being released from jail and rehab for her first probation violation. Lindsay will now be going back to rehab as the result of the positive drug tests.
Lohan and her attorney arrived at the LA courthouse around 11 am est, 30 minutes early for her court date. Lindsay has spent the month in the Betty Ford Clinic getting treatment for her substance abuse problem.
Lindsay Lohan was on the verge of a mini comeback just before news of her failed drug tests. She had been exploring her options which included a talk radio offer, and hosting "Saturday Night Live." The embattled actress now has a long road ahead of her both in recovery and her career.
