Lindsay Lohan obviously thought it better not to show up in court on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, for a hearing involving her fight in a New York City nightclub where she allegedly punched a psychic from Palm Beach. Lohan's lawyer actually doubts that the case against her will proceed at all, but it was delayed after her no-show on Monday.
It appears as if prosecutors pulled back on the case, and after hearing that, Lohan decided to just not show.
"It may very well be this case does not move forward...ironically a psychic fortune teller has predicted the year 2013 will be an extremely lucky year for Lindsay Lohan " her lawyer Mark Heller told reporters before leaving the courthouse.
The misdemeanor assault charge is on Lohan for allegedly punching Tiffany Mitchell, a psychic, during a fight at the Avenue nightclub on Nov. 29, 2012. Heller states that the defense team has put together some "very credible evidence and testimony" that would seriously weaken the case of Mitchell. That includes a statement from a witness that said:
"(Lohan) did absolutely nothing wrong [and] had made no contact with the alleged victim."
At this time, Lohan will not be required to appear in court for this case until formal papers have been filed.
